Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of International Chinese Studies at ECNU. She received her degree in literature and art from the Department of Chinese Language & Literature of Peking University in 2005. She is concerned with literary aesthetics and modern Western literary theory. She has been recently engaged in ecological aesthetics and eco-criticism with phenomenology as the main method, as well as the criticism and interpretation of literature, painting and other art works related to the relationship between human and nature from the perspective of ecological philosophy and aesthetics. She has hosted multiple national, provincial and ministerial projects and published a number of papers, represented by Aesthetic Dimension of Ecological Culture and Phenomenological Ecological Aesthetics and Ecological Criticism. She is currently a distinguished researcher at the Ecological Culture Research Center of Shandong University and a member of the editorial board of the Collection of Chinese Phenomenological Aesthetics. She offers courses including Literary Theory (undergraduate), Introduction to Western Aesthetics Classics in the 20th Century (undergraduate), Selected Readings of Modern Western Literary Theories (graduate), Selected Readings of Professional Works: A Study of Introduction to Phenomenology (graduate), and Ecological Aesthetics and Eco-criticism (Ph.D.).
