This book conducts a multidimensional analysis of T.S. Eliot's poetic thoughts and achievements, and has three distinct features. First, it discusses the changes in T.S. Eliot's poetic ideas from a dynamic perspective, especially the self-renewal of impersonality, objective counterpart and poetic dramatization in her poetic thinking. Second, it takes into account Eliot's complex attitudes toward democracy and fascism, and builds an understanding of her position by cross-referencing her social criticism with her poetic criticism. Third, it identifies its achievements and limitations of Eliot's poetic explorations in a pluralistic comparison by placing them in the coordinate system of Western and Chinese poetics.
